Fittings

    The majority of the helmet plate centres we supply come with two loops attached to the back. There are a few exceptions with three loops however. Figure 4 below shows the reverse of a typical badge , right without its fastening, left with its fastening in place. In the centre is displayed the fastening which is actually a cotter pin. The two loops pass through either the material of the cap, or the holes in the backplate, once through the cotter pin secures the badge in place. All of our badges are supplied with cotter pins as required.
    An alternative method of fixing helmet plate centres to the tropical helmet was by use of a slider affixed to the reverse of the badge - please note that we do not supply helmet plate centres with the slider method of fixing and that this is for information only.
